About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Branch Director to join our team at RBC Dominion Securities in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the branch, including sales management, human resource management, operations control, and supervision of compliance. They will provide leadership and support to Investment Advisors and support staff in hiring, training, and motivating them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To effectively manage and supervise all compliance issues and responsibilities on a daily basis.
  • To provide effective and consistent communication via weekly sales meetings, sales support meetings, and team meetings.
  • To engage in high-performance coaching with each IA and provide ongoing coaching to Branch Administrator to ensure their duties are understood and accomplished with a high degree of success.
  • To consistently seek opportunities to engage employees in improving the working environment within the branch.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team that includes branch staff, middle office, and internal and external partners. You will be responsible for managing multiple priorities and dealing with challenging and sometimes complex situations to drive success.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CSC and CPH designations, and the ability to complete BM license within 3 months.
  • Retail Brokerage Experience with minimum of 2 years Investment Advisor experience or similar experience.
  • Post-secondary Education (College or University).
  • Proven experience in leading a team, coaching, and developing and motivating others.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with ambiguity and managing multiple operations and servicing activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of securities laws and regulations.
