The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is seeking a highly skilled Market Rules Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our market rules group, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Ontario's electricity system.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement strategies to review and refine market rules, ensuring they remain effective and efficient.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external experts to analyze complex issues and develop solutions.
  • Lead projects related to market rule exemptions, working closely with the IESO's Exemptions Panel to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Prepare and present materials to facilitate discussions with various internal and external parties, including interested third parties and industry experts.

What You'll Need:

  • A strong background in business, law, engineering, or economics, with a deep understanding of the energy industry and its challenges.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to break down complex information and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company in various forums and presentations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and influence others to work towards common goals.

Salary:$124,000 - $165,000 per year

About the Location:The IESO offers a hybrid work model program to most of our employees, based on business needs. Individuals participating in the program can work an average of three days per week remotely within Ontario. When working in the office, you will be located at our Toronto location.
