Job SummaryAs a member of our nursing team, you will provide exceptional care to 50 Continuing Care residents, utilizing your skills in direct care, particularly with elderly clients diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias.
About Drayton ValleyLocated in the Central Zone, approximately 133 km southwest of Edmonton and 172 km northwest of Red Deer, Drayton Valley offers a charming atmosphere with access to various amenities such as libraries, movie theaters, bowling alleys, camping areas, golf courses, and a ski hill. The town has a population of over 7,000 people.
Your Role and ResponsibilitiesYou will be part of an interprofessional healthcare team that relies on critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Your daily tasks will include providing safe and quality patient care while adhering to AHS policies and procedures.
Requirements- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
A minimum of 1 year of experience in the Long Term Care setting (LTC)
Estimated Salary Range$68,000 - $85,000 per year based on location and experience
