Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Steel Boots Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and maintain open communication with colleagues and management.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) and a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions
