Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Philanthropy Officer to join our team at the Canadian Olympic Committee.

This role will be responsible for managing the full scope of activities related to major gift fundraising, including identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing gifts from $25,000 to $1 million+ and have experience working with high net worth individuals.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and internal teams. They will also have a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze data and develop strategies to drive revenue growth.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gift fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors, with a focus on securing gifts from $25,000 to $1 million+.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of fundraising initiatives and events.
  • Analyze data and develop strategies to drive revenue growth and improve donor engagement.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in major gift fundraising, preferably with a non-profit organization.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, practices, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to drive revenue growth and improve donor engagement.
What We Offer

A competitive salary based on experience, with a minimum estimated annual salary of $80,000-$120,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. Our organization offers a hybrid work model that allows for up to three days of remote work per week, and a comprehensive benefits package.
