Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver/Operator to join our Transportation Service Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient bus transportation to esteemed individuals, including Members of Parliament, Senators, and other authorized users. You will also drive trucks and cargo vans to deliver items between locations on the Hill and throughout the National Capital Region.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating buses and trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to schedules and service level standards;
  • Providing high-quality transportation services, ensuring the safety and security of passengers and cargo;
  • Complying with House of Commons, Ontario, and Quebec transportation authorities' policies and procedures;
  • Working overtime or irregular hours, as required, with short notice.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experiences;
  • Recent and minimum three years of experience in driving a 5-ton truck or buses with passengers on board;
  • A valid driver's license (classes D and F with Z endorsement in Ontario or class 3 with endorsements F and M in Quebec).

Additional assets include:

  • Experience providing services to high-profile clients;
  • Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and complete associated reports;
  • Capacity to safely operate electric hydraulic powered lifting devices.
