Job Title: Plumber

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Spark Power. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure their proper functioning. Identify and repair leaks, clogs, and other issues in a timely manner to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems and perform necessary repairs or replacements of damaged components. This may involve repairing or replacing valves, faucets, pipes, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform general preventive maintenance of buildings, industrial systems, and equipment, including pumps and various plumbing fixtures.
  • Testing and Verification: Conduct pressure tests and leak tests to ensure the integrity and safety of plumbing systems. Verify that systems meet regulatory standards and building codes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Document inspections, repairs, parts used, and other relevant information.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines when working with hazardous materials or in confined spaces.
  • Contractor Oversight: Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Mechanical and Plumbing Issues: Diagnose mechanical and plumbing issues and correct them.
  • Equipment Repair: Repair machines and equipment as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing.
  • Experience: Relevant experience working as a plumber in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of industrial plumbing systems, materials, and tools. Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Physical Demands: Required to work in industrial and outdoor environments. Services will be performed within Health and Safety standards and regulations. Physical requirements will range from frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching. The ability to work in various environmental conditions, including tight spaces and heights.
  • Shift Work: Shift work may be required.
  • Lifting Ability: Must be able to lift 34kg (75lb).
