Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Soghaat Sweets and Bakers. As a key member of our retail staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

About This Opportunity

  • This is a permanent full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • They will work 32 to 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment.
  • The primary language of work is English.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively allocate tasks to ensure seamless store operations and meet customer needs.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team to drive sales growth and excellent customer service.
  • Authorize Payments and Order Merchandise: Manage cash handling procedures and order inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage employee schedules to meet business demands and optimize productivity.
  • Sell Merchandise: Engage with customers, promote products, and meet sales targets to drive revenue growth.
  • Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
  • Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate stock levels, track inventory movements, and prevent losses.
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Oversee employee performance, provide guidance, and ensure efficient store operations.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A recognized secondary education certificate as proof of your educational background.
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and management.
  • Accurate and Reliable: Strong attention to detail and reliability to handle sensitive information and responsibilities.
  • Client Focus and Team Player: Customer-centric approach and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Environment and Physical Capabilities

This role requires working in a fast-paced retail environment with varying physical demands, including standing for extended periods, walking, and handling heavy loads.
