About the Role

The Associate Team Lead is a key position within the Small Business Banking team, responsible for supporting the Team Lead in driving business strategies and executing sales initiatives. This role requires strong leadership and coaching skills to lead a team of Small Business Advisors and deliver business performance and sales pipeline growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Small Business Advisors to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day sales operations and activities, ensuring compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the Team Lead in providing credit support for moderately complex deals and high-value client interactions.
  • Coach and develop Advisors to enhance their sales and service management skills.
  • Deliver formal performance reviews and support career growth and development.
  • Ensure sales practices are compliant with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.

Requirements:

  • Moody's Certificate in Small Business Banking.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales and service management activities and techniques.
  • Proven track record in delivering results in a fast-paced sales environment with strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner at senior levels and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of people and performance management techniques, with experience in coaching and developing talent.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable systems, including Sales Builder, Salesforce, SBP360, IntraLink, and Scotia Business Hub.
  • Thorough knowledge of Small Business credit risk and adjudication policies and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures associated with setting up and administering financial products, services, and employee profiles.
  • Working knowledge of products and services provided by the Bank's specialized sales forces and other delivery channels.
