Business Investment Leadership Position

In this role, you will:
- Ensure effective financial management of Canadian Banking & Wealth Management investment spend of the SIP portfolio, including forecasting, reporting, insights, and analysis.
- Lead a team in the creation of material for monthly and quarterly SIP reviews by the Group Head & CFO of each business line.
- Be accountable for month and quarter-end reporting to finance partners.
- Work with key stakeholders to continuously understand upcoming areas of spend/investment need within affordability.
- Drive effective resource utilization and capacity with technology partners during planning and throughout the year.
- Maintain processes to meet/exceed project governance standards as developed by the Divisional and Executive Project Management Offices and audit.
- Continuously challenge existing processes and standards within and outside the team.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests as required.
Do you have the skills to succeed in this role?
We're looking for individuals with:
- An accounting designation.
- A university degree (preferably MBA or finance/business).
- A minimum of 5-10 years of banking experience.
- Strong knowledge of the banking industry and the Canadian Banking and Wealth Divisions.
- Very strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated relationship management expertise.
- Knowledge of BNS finance systems (CAPPM, PEAK, OBI, HYPERION) is an asset.
