At Spark Power Corp, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Line Technician to join our team in Belleville, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground electrical systems, including power lines and cables, and street lighting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with local and company health and safety requirements and initiatives.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner with internal team members and customers.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including power lines and cables, and street lighting systems.
  • Connect and insulate conductors and related wiring.
  • Climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets when working on poles and towers.
  • Ensure quality workmanship by conducting inspections of completed work.
  • Coordinate with local electrical inspection governance to have work correctly approved.
  • Inventory control.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Powerline Technician Journeyperson, including successful completion of MEARIE or IHSA Powerline Technician Training Program (434A Red Seal Powerline Technician) or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate bucket trucks, radial boom derricks, hydraulic equipment, and all other tools used in line maintenance and construction.
  • Familiarity with and ability to carry out live line work practices and techniques on the systems.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License (DZ or AZ).
  • Ability to provide a certificate of Powerline Technician qualification.
  • Prior training in Working at Heights, Pole Top and Bucket Rescue, Bucket Evacuation.
