Job Summary

The Ambulatory Clinic Coordinator provides administrative support to patients, families, and healthcare teams in an ambulatory care setting. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate internal and external communication, scheduling, and database entry.

Responsibilities
  • Registration and scheduling of patients
  • Database entry and maintenance
  • Coordination of internal and external communication
  • Support for ambulatory clinic services
  • Performing other clerical functions as required
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Graduate of community college secretarial or office administration program or equivalent office experience
  • Medical Terminology Certificate 1 and 2, subject to testing
  • Keyboarding 40 wpm, subject to testing
  • Ability to use Meditech software/modules (i.e. Community Wide Scheduling, Patient Care Inquiry, ORM and Order Entry)
  • Ability to use computer applications: Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Minimum of 2 years recent related experience in an ambulatory clinic
  • Demonstrated effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills within an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to sit for long periods, repetitive reaching and repetitive bending
