Event Manager Position Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the production of a large-scale public-facing event in Toronto.

As an experienced Event Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the event, from planning to execution, collaborating with internal teams, sponsors, vendors, and city officials. We're looking for someone who can think creatively, bring fresh ideas to the table, and elevate the event experience.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale events or festivals, excellent organizational and project management skills, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work independently while excelling in a collaborative team environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 for this contract position, which is expected to last 6-8 months with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Festival Expertise: Utilize your experience in producing public-facing events or festivals to craft an engaging and memorable experience for attendees.
  • Creative Thinking: Innovate and bring fresh ideas to the event's design and execution, pushing boundaries to deliver a unique festival experience.
  • Event Production: Oversee the coordination and execution of all event components, including logistics, programming, and on-site operations.
  • Public Engagement: Ensure the event is inclusive, engaging, and accessible to a broad audience, creating a welcoming and dynamic atmosphere.
