A Day in the Life
  • Provide high-level and low-level estimates for projects and initiatives.
  • Design functional and technical specifications for projects and enhancements.
  • Develop impact analysis documents for initiatives and projects.
  • Review code and testing for projects and outsourcing vendors.
  • Lead and guide quality delivery of enhancement work performed by outsourcing providers.
  • Manage day-to-day incidents, requests, and assigned application performance and availability.
  • Engage in hands-on coding and guide others as needed.
  • Participate in hands-on testing and assist with testing as required.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for application incidents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Preferred experience in accounting or fleet management applications.
  • Hands-on proficiency in a mainframe environment, with strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL.
  • Understanding of software development life cycles (Agile/Scrum, waterfall, ITIL).
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies and web-based systems, with a strong interest in pursuing advancements in this area.
  • Experience with change data capture and data replication tools is preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence is preferred.
