About the Role:

This position will work closely with the NISR team to ensure Inuit perspectives are represented in research initiatives. Key responsibilities include engagement and communication activities, workshop coordination, result communication in Nunavut communities, and collaboration with various Inuit and community organizations.

The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or degree in a related field, experience in project management, knowledge of the Nunavut Agreement, and understanding of Inuit values and principles. Strong computer skills are also essential.

Job Description:
  • Support the Department of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation in advancing Inuit self-determination.
  • Coordinate and implement approved research activities to build Inuit capacity in health research.
  • Cultivate relationships with Inuit and community organizations to advance research goals.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
  • Experience in project management, coordination, or relevant skills.
  • Knowledge of the Nunavut Agreement and sensitivity to local context.
  • Understanding of Inuit values and principles.
  • Strong computer skills.

We offer an annual salary of $85,000.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) along with a comprehensive benefit package, including an employee pension plan, group insurance, and vacation travel assistance.
