
Avionics Technician with Large Fixed Wing Experience

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team in Thunder Bay. This is a rotational position that requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
As a licensed Avionics Technician (AME-E), you will be responsible for providing day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting support on aircraft Avionics. Your background in large fixed wing aircraft will be highly valued, particularly if you have experience with ATR 42/72 and/or RJ85/Bae 146 series aircraft.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in licensed Avionics and hold a Transport Canada AME 'E' License. Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and excellent listening and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:- Perform day-to-day on-aircraft Avionics troubleshooting and repair tasks
- Maintenance checks on Avionics systems, including communications, navigation, autopilot, Pitot-static, radar, AC & DC power distribution, and aircraft lighting
- Carry out various installations on aircraft
- Operate Avionics test equipment, including air data test set, navigation and communications, ATC ramp testers, and other electronic test equipment
- Ensure all paperwork for assigned tasks is complete and accurate before submitting to Crew Chief
- Troubleshoot faulty systems to determine a course of rectification
- Minimum 2 years' licensed Avionics experience required
- Transport Canada AME 'E' License
- Previous experience on large transport category fixed wing aircraft; preference given to experience with ATR 42/72 and/or RJ85/Bae 146 series aircraft
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting skills with good quality workmanship
- Excellent listening and communication skills
