About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC machinist to join our team at DICI Industries. As a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measuring and laying out work pieces, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, repairing machine tools and parts, setting up and adjusting production machineries/tools, maintaining, repairing and calibrating precision measuring instruments, documenting and reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances, verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and verifying dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts with high precision
  • Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly with attention to detail
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables with ease
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools to meet quality standards
  • Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate readings
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances promptly
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments with 100% accuracy
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in machine tool technology/machinist or equivalent experience
  • 5 years or more of experience in CNC machining and machine maintenance
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, paramedical services coverage, bonus, gasoline paid, group insurance benefits, life insurance, and registered retirement savings plan (RRSP). Additionally, we offer free parking available and travel insurance.
