About the Role

Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community-based setting. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients with various diagnoses and injuries, providing support in their homes and workplaces to help them achieve a successful return to their previous level of function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments.
  • Provide in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment, and other interventions as needed.
  • Work with clients to support their successful and sustainable return to work through onsite functional and cognitive functional work capacity assessments, as well as functional and cognitive job coaching.
  • Conduct in-vivo exposure therapy and strategies to re-integrate clients into their communities and meaningful daily activities.
Requirements
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Clinical experience in areas such as brain injury rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal and orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics, and/or return to work is an asset.
  • Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in various settings, including clients' homes, workplaces, and/or in the community.
  • Passion for the profession, commitment to ongoing professional development, and dedication to providing excellent client care.
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed and independent environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, decision-making, and analytic skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, empathy, and ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required for travel to clients' homes and workplaces.
