Pulmonology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pulmonology Specialist to join our team at St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

The Internal Medicine Department offers a range of subspecialties, including General Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Endocrinology, and Intensive Care.

Our hospital is equipped with modern facilities, including echocardiography, exercise stress testing, endoscopy, and a Sleep Lab.

As a Pulmonology Specialist, you will provide consultative services for patients in both inpatient and community outpatient settings.

You will work collaboratively with our collegial internal medicine group to deliver high-quality patient care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing consultative services for patients with respiratory conditions
• Participating in the Internal Medicine call schedule and inpatient/ED subspecialty consultation services as required
• Covering the 6-bed medical/surgical/cardiac Intensive Care Unit

We offer full-time hours with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Estimated annual salary: $250,000 - $300,000

Outpatient clinic hours will be scheduled based on departmental needs.

You will also participate in the Internal Medicine call schedule on a 1:6 basis.

To be eligible for this position, you must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or eligible to take the Fellowship Exam in Internal Medicine.

You must also hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
