Job Description:

Lorven Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Java Hadoop / Scala Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain large-scale Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.
  • Design and implement micro-service architecture.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines on AWS/Azure and/or Databricks.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Hadoop, Spark, and Java/Scala development.
  • 10+ years of experience in Java and Spring Framework development.
  • Experience in developing and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.
  • Proven hands-on experience in containerization – Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift etc.
  • Experience in developing applications in Spring & Spring Boot.
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins CI, Git, CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in building data pipelines on AWS/Azure and/or Databricks.
  • Knowledge in Market Risk/Capital Markets/Banking.
