Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Services Expert to join our team at RONA Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for managing and optimizing returns from stores, ensuring thorough analysis of performance indicators, and effective communication with stores and the store supply team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring the processing of merchandise returns, including verification, documentation, and sorting of returned products.
  • Coordinating with teams for the restocking of returned products or their proper disposal.
  • Managing return documentation to ensure complete traceability.
  • Organizing the receipt and inspection of returned pallets, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with logistics teams to optimize the return to vendors pallets in consignment and validate the transactional credits.
  • Overseeing and monitoring the collection, sorting, and processing of returned recyclable containers.
  • Ensuring proper storage and preparation of containers for recycling or reuse.
  • Collaborating with waste management partners to comply with environmental regulations.
  • Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators related to returns, such as return rate, processing time, and cost per return.
  • Identifying trends and opportunities for improvement through regular reporting.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a similar role in logistics or returns management is an asset.
  • Data analysis skills and proficiency in performance indicator analysis tools.
  • Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) (a significant asset).
  • Experience with SQL server (an asset).
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications, including Excel and Access.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with stores and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of return management procedures, pallet reuse, and recycling practices.
  • Proficiency with IT tools and return management systems.
