About the Role

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) professional regulated by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), delivers quality care to research participants at SFU's ImageTech facility. As a leader in their field, the MRT practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice, uses best practices and works closely with faculty to support the success of the research laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform special procedure examinations; ensure the care provided is safe; and maximize the potential of the research equipment and resources.
  • Develop and implement procedures protocols and manuals.
  • Work effectively with research participants, faculty, and staff, including staff in external agencies.
  • Deal with and/or guide others in the resolution of conflict issues.
  • Plan and establish workload priorities in collaboration with others.
