Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Team Lead to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of menu item production, maintaining high standards, and adhering to safety and hygiene policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, pre-cook, cook, and present menu items in a timely manner while following standardized recipes.
  2. Submit food product requirements for purchasing and prepare orders.
  3. Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
  4. Receive stock from receiving operations, label, date, store, and rotate in appropriate storage areas.
  5. Conduct month-end inventories as directed and attend culinary meetings as required.
  6. Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments.
  7. Develop strong working relationships with guests, ownership, and team members while ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma; Culinary education is an asset.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of progressive culinary experience.
  3. Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program is an asset.
  4. FDA Food Safety Certification.
  5. Ability to successfully clear a criminal record check.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

This role requires regular kitchen environment exposure, standing, and walking for extended periods, as well as non-traditional work hours. Estimated annual salary: $55,000-$65,000 based on location and experience.
