About the Role

Cenovus is seeking a highly skilled Operations Engineering Specialist to join our Conventional Operations Team in Calgary. This dynamic role will be responsible for driving key aspects of the P&L, developing and implementing base asset strategies for value maximization, and overseeing all aspects of Operations Engineering.

The successful candidate will have primary accountability for production, operating costs, and operations capital within their geographic area of responsibility. They will work closely with area Foremen to drive optimized business and safety performance and realize business plan objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement base asset strategies to maximize value
  • Provide technical infrastructure, design, and process engineering support to the operation
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive business and safety performance
  • Maintain professional engineer status sanctioned by APEGA and authenticate mechanical engineering deliverables
Requirements
  • 15+ years of relevant operations, facility, and production engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas industry and facility design
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams
  • Professional Engineer status sanctioned by APEGA

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $180,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards. The successful candidate will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
