Data Visualization and Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization and Development Lead to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in data visualization, software development, and leadership to drive business growth and success.
Job DescriptionAs a Data Visualization and Development Lead, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Server. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Your technical expertise will include proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy, Apache Airflow, and AWS, as well as experience with front-end and back-end development.
You will lead complex projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, provide guidance to junior team members, and present technical designs and solutions to non-technical audiences.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop advanced data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Server
- Lead complex projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results

- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
- Present technical designs and solutions to non-technical audiences
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in leading development teams on large projects or programs interfacing with multiple applications and/or third parties
- Proven experience as a Tableau developer (Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server)
- Proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy, Apache Airflow, and AWS
- Experience with front-end and back-end development
The estimated salary for this role is $115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement plan.
