We are seeking a skilled Optician Specialist to join our team at Boardwalk Optometry.



About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing client eyewear needs, preparing prescriptions, and assisting in the selection of eyeglasses and contact lenses.



Key Responsibilities


  • Analyze client eye curvature, pupillary distance, and bridge width using optical measuring devices
  • Prepare prescriptions and obtain specifications for eyeglasses and contact lenses
  • Assist clients in selecting eyeglasses and advise on use and care of contact lenses
  • Cut and edge lenses and fit them into frames
  • Adjust finished eyeglasses to fit the client


Requirements


  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
