Job Summary


Talize is seeking a skilled Retail Floor Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our retail floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a visually appealing store environment, and achieving sales goals.



Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers in a professional and enthusiastic manner, utilizing your knowledge of products and promotions to meet their needs.
  • Determine customer requirements, offer recommendations, and inform them of store events and promotions.
  • Answer customer inquiries and resolve complaints efficiently.
  • Achieve sales targets by delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Process transactions accurately, handle exchanges, refunds, cancellations, and tax exemptions.
  • Securely manage cash and store funds.
  • Maintain the retail floor's appearance by stocking merchandise and promoting a positive shopping experience.
  • Ensure the store remains organized, clean, and safe at all times.


Health and Safety:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards.
  • Prevent external and internal theft by taking necessary precautions.
  • Identify hazards, report them to management, and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Report employee or customer accidents immediately.


Other Duties:

  • Receive donations, assist with moving/unloading product, and effectively handle phone calls.
  • Roll racks as needed from fitting rooms and processing departments to the retail floor.
  • Maintain professionalism while communicating with peers, managers, customers, and via the store intercom system.
  • Assist management with sale preparations and execution.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as requested by management.


Requirements:

  • 1+ year of retail experience, preferably in a thrift environment.
  • Familiarity with sales-oriented approaches and basic math/money handling skills.
  • Effective problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Constant bending, reaching, and repetitive hand use.
  • Lifting/carrying items up to 50lbs without assistance.
  • Pushing/pulling merchandise containers weighing up to 500lbs.


Work Environment:

  • Exposure to dust throughout the shift.
  • Periodic temperature fluctuations and noise levels.
  • Interaction with customers, clients, and the public.


Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year (dependent on location).
