Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Engineer to lead our team of engineers in designing and developing cutting-edge industrial shredding equipment. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and skill development.
Project Management
  • Oversee the design and improvement of industrial shredders, providing technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones, ensuring efficient workflows and productivity.
Technical Expertise
  • Provide approval of project-specific special features, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of engineering designs, identifying areas for optimization and innovation.
  • Update and complete the Industrial Shredder Selector Tool, ensuring accurate and efficient selection of shredding systems.
Process Optimization
  • Implement efficient engineering processes and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce time-to-market, including BOM's, drawings, Engineering Change Management (ECO's), and product manuals.
  • Identify and implement improvements in existing products and processes, maintaining a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A University Degree (P. Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in engineering in a custom-engineered, industrial equipment environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align engineering efforts with business goals.
