About the Role

As our Engineering Director, you will lead our high-performing engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope. Your expertise in software development methodologies and modern technologies will drive product excellence, improve productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Scale High-Performing Engineering Teams: Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent to meet the demands of rapid growth. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement to enhance team productivity and engagement.
  2. Drive Product Development Excellence: Lead our engineering teams to deliver high-quality products, implementing agile methodologies and optimizing development workflows to accelerate time-to-market and ensure product releases align with customer needs and business objectives.
  3. Drive Results-Oriented Culture: Instill a results-driven mindset within the engineering organization, setting clear expectations and accountability standards to motivate teams to achieve high performance and contribute significantly to the company's success.
  4. Enhance Product Quality and Reliability: Improve product stability and performance by adopting best practices in software development and quality assurance, reducing bugs and technical debt to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
  5. Optimize Engineering Processes: Implement efficient development processes and tools to improve team productivity and collaboration, streamlining workflows, reducing bottlenecks, and enhancing cross-functional communication.
  6. Align Engineering Efforts with Business Goals: Collaborate closely with the CTO and Product team to ensure that engineering initiatives are strategically aligned with the company's objectives, translating product roadmaps into actionable engineering plans to drive business growth and market success.
  7. Innovate with Emerging Technologies: Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance product capabilities and efficiency, driving innovation and keeping DealMaker at the forefront of technological advancements in the fintech industry.
  8. Enhance Customer Experience: Ensure that engineering efforts are customer-centric, contributing to delivering products that meet and exceed user expectations, improving customer satisfaction and support for the company's mission.
  9. Manage Resources Effectively: Oversee engineering budgets and resource allocation, optimizing costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines, ensuring resources are used efficiently to maximize ROI.
  10. Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships across departments, promoting transparency and collaboration, effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels to align teams toward common goals and drive cohesive execution.
