Patient Care Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Medicentres Canada Inc. in Haig South Medicentres Clinic.
About the RoleThe Licensed Practical Nurse will provide exceptional customer service to patients and physicians, executing on the organization's strategic objectives as it relates to clinic operations and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate forms, create billings, and collect payment for uninsured services
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for physician visits
- Set up and assist with minor surgical procedures, pelvic examinations/IUDs
- Perform diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician, including urinalysis, simple blood glucose testing, pregnancy testing
- Perform medical procedures and interventions within the designated scope of practice
- Aware of the organization's core purpose and values, performing accordingly
- Accurately chart medical procedures or interventions in patient charts
- Follow standards of cleanliness and safety
- Schedule and notify patients of appointments
- Scan patient documents as required
- Open mail, receive faxes, and distribute appropriately
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly chore lists
- Participate in training and orientation of new medical staff and students
- Understand physician profiles and execute requests to support physicians
- Diploma from an accredited institution
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
- Minimum one year customer service experience
- Experience with Med Access software preferred
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Strong clinical, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- CPR and immunization
This role requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance workload tasks, and work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. Ability to stand for prolonged periods is also required.
CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $ $80,000 - $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
