About the Role

Vahagn's Your Independent Grocer is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process payments, and handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Scan items, tabulate total payments, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a fast-paced and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, excellent oral communication, team player, and reliable.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, and a permanent position is available with 30-35 hours of work per week.
Language of Work:

English is the primary language of work.
