External Shop Technician

The External Shop Technician plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient operations and adherence to company policies. This position is responsible for developing external sales and relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive customer relationships through proper handling of customer merchandise, questions, comments, requests, and complaints.
- Work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating proficiency and friendliness.
- Directly responsible for developing and achieving confidential external sales and budget objectives in sales, margins, expenses, profits, and EHP.
- Perform duties with accuracy and attention to detail, maintaining confidentiality of information at all times.
- Assist the supervisor in ensuring the work environment operates in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the supervisor regarding recommendations for continued improvement of operations, where necessary developing and administering action plans for desired results.
- Conduct technical repairs of equipment, assembly of new equipment, and installation of bathroom safety products, assisting with the installation of stair, porch, and ceiling lifts. Assist in the overall operation of the shop and service area, adhering to manufacturers' specifications, guidelines, and warranty programs.
- Assist the supervisor in overseeing the management of the AADL recycle program, maintenance of company vehicles, and maintenance of all rental equipment and the cleanliness of the service department.
- Establish and maintain strong, efficient, and productive working relationships with approved professionals, business organizations, and internal/external company representatives.
- Assist in the administration of repair and billing of merchandise, inventory control, purchase orders, price integrity, quotes, and all administrative areas not specifically referred to in this document.
- Act as a liaison and public relations representative for the company within the communities served.
- Assist in the ordering of products and supplies, assist in organizing and conducting inventory.
- Adhere to all government and professional standards and regulations applicable to the Home Health Care Industry.
- Ensure daily functions are carried out in an organized and efficient manner.
- Provide training to new shop technicians, providing verbal and written reports to the supervisor on the status of training progress as required.
- Provide leadership in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) activities, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about and comply with OH&S policies, procedures, and legislation, assisting in identifying unhealthy, unsafe situations, and ensuring corrective action is taken. Ensure all staff adhere to safety rules and regulations.
