Quality Assurance Manager and Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager and Team Lead to join our team at First National. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Quality Assurance Specialists who are responsible for the post-funding and post-funding review of underwriting quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Quality Assurance Specialists to ensure timely, efficient, and objective quality reviews
  • Schedule reviews and allocate resources to meet targets
  • Perform QA of QA reviews and provide feedback to team members
  • Review findings to ensure accuracy and keep Sr. Management informed of trends
  • Complete management reporting as required
  • Assist with reviewing and responding to external audits
  • Stay up to date with policy, product, investor, and insurer requirements
  • Manage team capacity through efficient delegation and monitoring of productivity reports
  • Motivate team members to meet performance targets through ongoing feedback and coaching
  • Establish performance and work standards
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees as required
  • Provide coaching, training, support, and development to team members
  • Lead team meetings
  • Conduct annual performance reviews

Requirements:

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Positive team player with desire and ability to mentor others
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills
  • Must have experience/knowledge of residential underwriting practices
  • Fully competent in working with basic pc software and working knowledge of the suite of Microsoft office products
  • Ability to manage pressure in an environment of high volume processing with tight turnaround times
  • Bilingualism (French, English) required - interactions with English-speaking customers or partners
