Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AVP, Third Party Risk Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our third-party risk management program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program, including policy updates and strategy development.
  • Lead the review and oversight of third-party risk governance documents across subsidiaries and joint ventures.
  • Develop and communicate SL's third-party risk appetite statements.
  • Provide second-line oversight and challenge as Policy Contact Third Party Risk Management Framework, analyzing TPRM-related KPIs and KRIs.
  • Manage a team assessing risks and implementing program changes in collaboration with Business Group Risk Office members and 1st line operational risk personnel.
  • Oversee quarterly and annual TPRM reporting to senior management and the Risk Committee.
  • Design and implement various tools for identifying, measuring, managing, monitoring, and reporting on Third-Party risks.
  • Advise on strategic decisions and program improvements related to the Third-Party Risk Management program.
  • Establish and maintain oversight and monitoring frameworks for the TPRM program.
  • Leverage business acumen to assess complex third-party risk issues and guide solution recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Professional designation and/or graduate degree.
  • Over 12 years' experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in risk management.
  • Technical third-party risk management knowledge required.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining a Third-Party Risk Management system.
  • Direct third-party risk management experience within a major Federally Regulated Financial Institution.
  • Strong writing skills and direct experience writing policies and guidelines.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
