Job Overview

Skyline Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dynamic Senior Geotechnical Operations Manager to lead and innovate in the Geotechnical Engineering field.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking leader to shape our emerging Geotechnical Engineering practice in the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Staff Supervision: Ensure the well-being and safety of teams at various work sites. Supervise employees, mentor staff, review technical reports, and coordinate resources for seamless operations.
  • Client Relations & Project Coordination: Serve as the key liaison between clients and internal teams. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Coordinate work assignments and project schedules to meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Financial & Administrative Management: Prepare and manage group budgets to meet profit and utilization targets. Track monthly performance metrics and make adjustments as necessary. Oversee the preparation of contract documents to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Business Development: Engage in business development activities to expand the client base and strengthen existing relationships. Monitor industry trends and attend trade shows, professional associations, and events to enhance the company's profile.
  • Quality Control & Technical Excellence: Review team work to ensure it meets established standards and continuously seek ways to improve quality. Manage projects from proposal to completion, including budget allocation, resource management, and client communication. Stay technically proficient by participating in professional practice groups and delivering training programs.
About You
  • A degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering is required.
  • MORE THAN 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT IS REQUIRED.
  • PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGNATION IN ONTARIO IS REQUIRED.
  • You must have proven ability to manage operations, lead teams, and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and business development skills are essential.
