Job Summary

Procon Mining & Tunnelling Ltd. is a leading mine development contractor in North America, specializing in underground mine development, contract mining, and civil tunneling. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Jumbo Bolter Operator to join our team in Northern Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a split feed jumbo drilling rig in an underground mine environment
  • Drill, mesh, and bolt with precision and accuracy
  • Assess ground conditions and implement ground control measures
  • Load and prime development rounds with bulk emulsion and electronic detonators
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment
  • Complete daily reports on equipment and workplace safety
  • Follow all policies and procedures at the mine site and underground
  • Ensure Health & Safety is the top priority

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience operating split feed jumbo drilling rigs in an underground mine
  • Experience drilling, meshing, and bolting with split feed jumbo drilling rigs
  • Underground Common Core certification
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read mine plans and specifications for underground mining
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach to work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residency in Northern Saskatchewan
  • Indigenous identity
