656236 BC Ltd is seeking a skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting job notices, and coordinating the selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates. Your expertise will also be essential in advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment, as well as negotiating settlements of appeals and disputes. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
* Prepare and post job notices
* Collect and screen applicants
* Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
* Review candidate inventories
* Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
* Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions
* Coordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates
* Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
* Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
* Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
* Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes
* Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
* Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties

**Requirements:**

* College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
* Experience an asset

**Work Environment:**

* Work Term: Permanent
* Work Language: English
* Hours: 40 hours per week
