Job Title: Sawmill Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sawmill Operator to join our team at Lahaie Lumber Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sawmill equipment to cut and process lumber.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine logs and rough lumber to determine the best cutting plan
• Saw, trim, and plane rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes
• Monitor logs and lumber movement to ensure cuts are made according to specifications
• Set up and adjust saw equipment
• Clean and lubricate sawmill equipment
• Start up or shut down process equipment
• Prepare production reports

Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a noisy and dusty environment.

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Will train
• Or equivalent experience
