Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at Baxter Landscape & Tree Services Ltd.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist with landscape constructions, tie and secure plants, and perform various tasks as part of our landscaping team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and sod;
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and safety;
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their appearance and health;
  • Cut grass to maintain lawn appearance and density;
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep work areas clean and safe;
  • Remove litter and garbage from properties to ensure a tidy appearance;
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to aid in landscaping construction;
  • Lay sod or seed to enhance lawn quality and appearance;
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to add beauty and value to properties;
  • Apply fertilizers to promote plant growth and health;
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation;
  • Write daily progress reports to update management on project status;
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure their health and well-being;
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to complete tasks efficiently;
  • Participate in tree removal activities as required;
