Job Title: Chief Mobile Video Developer

We are seeking a skilled Chief Mobile Video Developer to join our team at Prosum.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAAS OTT Video Mobile/TV applications using Android technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that requires expertise in video player development, cross-platform compatibility, and plugin framework design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality mobile applications for Android devices
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Design and implement a plugin framework for adapting pluggable components
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile application development trends and best practices
  • Lead small developer agile teams and mentor junior engineers
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Android SDK
  • Proficiency in Android technology development
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
  • Familiarity with video player development
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Git and Jenkins
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, like Scrum and Kanban
  • Good speaking and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Previous experience working on SAAS platforms/products
  • Previous experience working on live/vod video streaming platforms/products
  • Experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Experience with iOS Objective C or Swift/SwiftUI
  • Understanding of various multimedia transport protocols
  • Experienced in cryptography
  • Good understanding of Digital Rights Management Systems (DRM)
