Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at 297173 ALBERTA LTD. as a Child Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on educational outings to local points of interest, promoting learning and exploration.
  • Administrative Tasks: Order supplies and equipment, assist in maintaining records, and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Child Development: Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, while guiding them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with early childhood educators and supervisors to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance and criminal record check
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, reliability, and a team player attitude
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience in early childhood education is an asset
  • Language: Fluency in English
  • Work Schedule: 30-40 hours per week
