About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at the Royal Academy. As an assistant to our early childhood educators, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Experience an asset.

Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The work environment is dynamic, and the ability to adapt to changing situations is essential.

Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week
