About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, ambitious, and customer-focused sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, ideally with experience in the healthcare industry. As a self-starter and highly motivated individual, you will join our team and serve as our Business Development Manager. With a minimum of 5 years sales experience, your focus will be to grow our customer and distribution base in the Canadian Healthcare sector. Private or Public sector sales experience is required in the Retail, Medical, Long-Term Care, and Dental Industries. Your past successful sales performance will be an asset when representing Canada's leader in highly accredited Personal Protective Equipment and proudly the first company in North America with focused efforts on diverting PPE from landfills by creating fully recyclable products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive growth by adding new accounts/business development:
    • Develop a robust pipeline of leads which include market leaders.
    • Conduct cold calls.
    • Qualify leads.
    • Educate and market to prospects on Vitacore's products and services.
    • Convert leads into customers through follow-up calls/visits, strong persuasion, and communication skills, through a collaborative, consultative approach.
    • Work with Distribution Representatives to drive new business growth throughout territory.
  • Manage the territory as your own business:
    • Assist with customer orders and questions.
    • Focus on account pipeline growth making decisions using available information and resources.
    • Assist in the development of territory sales forecasts.
    • Create monthly territory analysis.
    • Use organizational skills to plan sales call rotations, record sales notes, track prospects, and comply with required reporting and other internal administration tasks.
    • Strategize with other departments to build a comprehensive plan to successfully achieve company objectives each month/quarter/year.
  • Represent the Vitacore brand positively:
    • Share your passion as a local Canadian manufacturer with enthusiasm.
    • Ensure a strong working knowledge of our full product portfolio and ability to clearly promote our products' value.
    • Demonstrate continuous personal development by being open and receptive to coaching and customer feedback.
    • Communicate clearly and respond to clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Actively maintaining existing client Business Developments:
    • Team-selling approach, you will conduct regular business meetings with active accounts.
    • Lead ongoing training and educations; coordinate Marketing initiatives.
    • Collaborate on territory account management strategy, including the deployment of business development, new product penetration and market share expansion within our account/Distributor base customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business.
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience, experience in the medical devices industry is ideal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is considered an asset.
  • Superior, articulate, and engaging communication skills in English (including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication).
  • Active driver's license is a must.
  • Be eligible to qualify for a provincially regulated security license (clear criminal background check).

Compensation
  • $75,000 - $85,000 annual salary.
  • Uncapped commission $ + bonuses.
