Job Description:

We seek an accomplished Senior Web Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for coding, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

This role involves developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end aspects of our web applications, collaborating closely with product teams to create seamless user experiences and scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust web applications and services, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain back-end services, databases, and APIs, focusing on data integration and synchronization between systems.
  • Lead data integration efforts, designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data synchronization between systems.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and libraries to enhance application functionality and data connectivity.
  • Follow secure coding practices to prevent common information or code vulnerabilities.
  • Debug, test, and troubleshoot software defects, performance issues, and data integration problems to ensure high quality and reliability.
  • Understand the importance of protecting sensitive data and follow data protection regulations, implementing appropriate encryption, access controls, and data masking techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, data integration techniques, and industry best practices, sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation for user support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in development, with a strong focus on web application development.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience with React, Angular, Next.Js, Solito, Expo, and Tamagui frameworks.
  • Strong experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Good experience with API and web services development.
  • Familiarity with popular blockchain platforms.
  • Effective use of Git and GitHub-based version control and collaboration.
  • Solid experience in mobile development (iOS, Android).
  • Proficiency in English and French (Spanish proficiency is an asset).

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000 CAD, depending on experience, with flexibility in payment options including Bitcoin, Canadian, or US Dollars.
