Nurse Practitioner, Cardiac Oncology Specialist

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiac Oncology team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing patients and clients, diagnosing diseases, and initiating treatment. You will also provide professional guidance to other health professionals and participate in quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and clients, including diagnosing diseases and disorders.
- Initiate treatment, including healthcare management and therapeutic interventions.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards.
- Provide professional guidance to other health professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and peer review.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require a current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives, plus 4 years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience. You will also need to have completed the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
