Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second Cook to join our culinary team at Nita Lake Lodge - Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in food preparation and handling.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Train kitchen staff and helpers in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet the needs of our guests.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
