We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Product Designer to join our team at Air Canada, an iconic Canadian symbol and the best Airline in North America. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our diverse and vibrant team at the forefront of passenger aviation.

As a Senior Digital Product Designer, you will collaborate closely with digital product managers, product owners, developers, designers, company leaders, and business partners to create industry-leading digital experiences across our Air Canada digital channels that delight customers and employees and drive business growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver exceptional digital experiences across our digital channel products in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Create user-centered designs by considering user feedback, usage data, user research, and technical constraints/opportunities and business value.
  • Interpret usability testing, user research, and analytics to uncover insights, identify gaps, and inform product roadmaps.
  • Foster the discovery and planning of new products and features, driving the design vision across digital channels.
  • Communicate complex design solutions through process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the end-to-end iterative product design process (discovery, definition, development, and delivery).
  • Articulate the rationale behind your designs and rally support for solutions that delight customers and drive business growth.
  • Develop strong leadership abilities to lead Product Design projects independently and coach Product Design colleagues to elevate the overall team's skillset.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Digital Product Designer or UX Designer.
  • 2+ years of experience with at least one Agile process (SCRUM, SAFe, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent work experience launching digital products.
  • Deep understanding of inclusive design principles and a commitment to creating accessible experiences.
  • Expertise in design thinking and human-centered design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, etc.
  • Airline, Loyalty, or Travel Industry experience a plus, but not required.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work closely with diverse groups and working styles.
  • Autonomous and self-starter able to effectively self-manage priorities.
  • Must embrace an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills able to demonstrate technical and business fluency.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
