As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving our fast-paced robotic and automation projects forward. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical work with leadership and guiding a team to deliver high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute daily and weekly tasks for the technician team.
- Commit 50% of your time to the assembly, integration, and deployment of projects.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Document issues and provide feedback on all aspects of a project.
- Be the technical resource/point of contact for any issue regarding assembly, integration, testing, packaging, and deployment of robotic and automation projects.
- Integrate automation components and configure automated systems.
- Conduct analysis of issues, suggest/implement solutions, and document effort to implement fixes.
- Execute on-site deployment and client support activities.
- Perform quality control activities prior to shipping customer products.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to plan resources (timeline, space, deployment schedules, etc).
- Own the workspace, ensuring it is well-organized and efficient.
- Help implement and enforce health & safety initiatives as well as guidelines.
- Continuously improve cleanliness and organization of the space, tools, and parts.
- Ensure efficient cross-departmental collaboration.
- Identify the strengths of team members and encourage collaboration to share knowledge.
- Support with hiring, growing, and developing a team of passionate, coachable, and curious technicians.
- Assimilate well into Vention culture and maintain a positive attitude in the face of obstacles.
- Be a role model for what a great Automation Technician is in terms of performance, time management, skills, knowledge, attitude, and work ethic. Lead by example and inspire the wider team to follow you and operate at your level.
- Up to 20% of travel on-site.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced work environment.
- Technical diploma in mechanical engineering, automation, or robotics.
- Proactive problem solver, capable of identifying/reporting issues and generating solutions.
- Attention to detail in the context of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
