The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000 - $200,000 CAD, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Leader, Treasury Management to join our team. As a key member of our Global Banking and Markets group, you will be responsible for executing business strategies, plans, and initiatives in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a solid understanding of our business strategies and provide guidance to businesses and senior leadership on liquidity, asset, capital, and funding risk mitigation and optimization.
  • Partner with Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking to drive balance sheet and funding optimization strategies in line with the asset profile of both GBM and Canadian Banking.
  • Work towards the development of Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking level financial metrics to identify areas of the division where we can effectively deploy scarce financial resources.
  • Coordinate with Finance, GT, and Capital Management functions to assess impact to key metrics such as stress testing, leverage ratio, LCR, NSFR, and capital.
  • Act as a consultant, challenger, and advocate for all FTP and liquidity-related matters within the scope of businesses supported.
  • Ensure that any recommended changes have been fully vetted, communicated with key stakeholders, and then appropriately prioritized for implementation.
  • Produce ad-hoc and strategic analysis/presentations to senior executives across the organization regarding capital, liquidity, and related metrics for individual businesses within the division.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, or economics.
  • Master's degree or recognized Professional designation in a specialized area of finance or business (an asset).

Experience:

  • A background in treasury, finance, capital management, or risk.
  • In-depth knowledge of functions and activities including liquidity and funding risks associated with Corporate and Commercial Banking.
  • Proficient in banking regulations (LCR, NSFR, NCCF) and sound practices (Basel, OSFI, etc.).
  • Ability to understand the regulatory environment in all regions and potential effects on investment, liquidity, structural risk, and ALM activities.
