Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Purchasing to join our North American Strategic Procurement team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that deliver best-in-class results in people, processes, costs, and supply. You will work closely with the global purchasing team, develop networking relationships, and ensure the department's focus is consistent with the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing materials, suppliers, and services in compliance with company requirements
  • Leading department working capital initiatives and ensuring progress against project timelines and deliverables
  • Developing and managing best-in-class purchasing policies, processes, systems, tools, training, and auditing
  • Reducing total costs of packaging without jeopardizing quality or business continuity
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in purchasing, preferably in packaging categories
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, influencing others towards a common objective
  • Detailed understanding of the purchasing function, including purchasing strategy, supplier management, purchasing category management, cost management, budgeting, and controlling
  • Ability to interact with various business situations and all levels of management, trade groups, conventions
What We Offer

Lactalis Canada offers a competitive base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a performance-based bonus system, four weeks of vacation, benefits starting day one, and a pension program with an employer match at 100% of up to 6%.
